The Serial Keyboard is designed to be used with the L series, ML series and SL series display units and is used to provide a means of keying in data to the display unit such as model numbers and shift targets. The serial keyboard connects to the display unit using a standard RS232 serial interface.

The serial keyboard requires a 5 Volt DC supply which is usually obtained from the power supply inside the display unit and fed down the connecting cable.

The serial keyboard constructed in console type sloping fronted plastic enclosure with dimensions of 195mm x 147mm x 23mm to 33mm.

48 keys are provided which can be programmed for various alpha/numeric characters.

The front panel plastic label can be easily modified to meet an customer’s individual requirements.
